The first of these actually comes from something someone is already doing in Denver. Connect MP families with health care givers (nurses, doctors, hospitals) to provide food for them. The food would be delivery from local restaurants. That helps both the restaurants and the health care givers. I imagine there are many families in Menlo Park and surrounding areas that would be willing to contribute funds to help. (the one in Denver did a go-fund-me campaign, which was oversubscribed multiple times) Second, as part of helping people look forward to the end of all of this, perhaps plan some kind of recognition (parade?) for local health care givers. That could potentially be coordinated across adjacent cities to have something bigger and more meaningful. Obviously the event would happen when it is an appropriate time, but just the announcement and planning could be helpful. People are looking for ways to help and for positive things right now. The above could be part of that. Collin Collin Cohen collin_at_(domainremoved) (650) 465-5096 Received on Wed Apr 01 2020 - 07:55:50 PDT
