Hello Council. I'm re-sending regarding a Menlo Park senior who is at risk. Is there anyone available to help her? Is there someone you can point me to? Many thanks Ron On Tue, Apr 14, 2020 at 7:59 PM Ron Piovesan Council I've been in contact with one of your residents who is in need of help. She's a senior who has been teaching out of her home for the past 16 years and overnight her source of income has evaporated. She was introduced to me through a series of connections and I've been helping her financially as well as delivering food to her. She's been in contact with Samaritan House, but they are overwhelmed. She's tried to apply for unemployment insurance but she's been denied and she doesn't know why. I'm trying to help her get in contact with someone who can help connect her with the resources she needs. Even though I don't know her, I'm happy to ensure she's supported in the short term so she feels secure and comfortable. Is there anyone I can connect her with to help her plan out her medium/long term support model? I was introduced to this person in a rather random way. Despite that, I feel strongly we're all in this together so I've been happy to help. As quick background, I'm a resident of San Carlos, although I lived in Menlo Park for a while. I'm acquainted with everyone on the San Carlos City Council, particularly Mark Olbert. Any direction you could provide would be most appreciated.
