City council members –
I encourage you to support the Menlo Park Gymnastics program and maintain it as the true community gem that it is. There are numerous private gymnastics facilities in the area for families looking for the experience they offer, but the Menlo Park program has stood out for years as a quality program, teaching gymnastics and life skills including discipline and patience to children of all ages and abilities. I have firsthand experience with the program as my two daughters participated in classes there for several years – one in recreational classes and the other as a competitive gymnast. I also had the opportunity to work with many staff members while serving with the Friends of Menlo Park Gymnastics organization supporting the Menlo Sparks competitive team.
I would imagine the vision of the Arrillaga family supporting the building of this 12 million dollar facility is to foster the kind of programs that have been offered for years that Goldstar Gymnastics cannot match. Please help maintain the excellent and well-loved programs historically offered.
