Dear City Council,
I am disappointed in the decision to downgrade the importance of replacement parking in the RFP. This is a signal that you are not listening to taxpayers and businesses who have repeatedly wrote, spoke, and discussed the critical need to keep parking downtown. This should not be a suggestion, it should be a requirement to keep all existing parking and add additional parking with the addition of hundreds of residents. Decisions like this signal to the local businesses that their needs and livelihood are not important, that you will not support them. They will choose some city that will. This is not the downtown we strive to have.
