Greetings City Council - I realize there are a lot of tradeoffs in any decision, but I fully support the proposed street closures (Option C for Santa Cruz, plus the side streets). Enabling more space for social distancing, particularly to enable our restaurants to have a chance to stay in business, seems like the highest and best use of this space. I do have one caveat - it's important to make sure that, once schools go back to in-person classes, safe routes to schools are maintained. Particularly post-COVID, students are likely to be cycling rather than taking a bus, and we do need to make sure they have a safe way to bike to school.
