To Council Members of the Menlo Park City Council Agenda Item E-2 As a long-time Menlo Park resident and property owner, I do not support the closure of Santa Cruz Avenue and side streets as described in this agenda item. I believe that until there has been a thorough polling of businesses and property owners fronting on that portion of Santa Cruz Avenue and the affected side streets, and the polling results published, this item should be held in abeyance. I would recommend that the published results should also be categorized relative to business type, as well. I believe that this measure, if executed as described in the Agenda Item, could have a significant negative impact on our commercial district and the businesses that call it home.
