hoping we can see a map before any street closures are decided

Dear Council Members, Lee Duboc sent out an email tonight informing us there will likely be a discussion about downtown street closures tomorrow, May 11. Please send out a map before any street closures are decided - even temporary ones. I have no idea which are parking plazas 5, 6, 7 and 8 - as mentioned in this email. They are not shown on the Mapquest maps I’m looking at. Except for a couple weeks around Christmas when folks are shopping and having holiday lunches, I have never found it hard to find a place to park right near my destination,, and I was going downtown at least twice each week before shelter-in-place. So I was also not in favor of building new parking garages. Regarding the street closures, I sometimes have knee and/or back pain, and when I do, I do not want to walk too far to get to my destination from the car. I am likely to choose to shop, dine, take exercise classes and doctor appointments in Palo Alto instead, which I often find more user friendly and welcoming. Please do not make Menlo Park less accessible. I also think there is room to social distance without closing streets - I watch ahead, and stay well away from others if we are about to pass. Also please don’t bury important changes in the middle of your City Council agendas - and please find an easy way to inform residents about proposed changes. So we all know well ahead of time.
