Dear Menlo Park City Council,
We truly need better policing of our Menlo Park streets. Between speeding, running through occupied cross-walks, rolling stop signs, etc it is becoming a less pedestrian / biker safe place to be.
Atherton has recently had frequent and visible traffic enforcement officers on El Camino Real. They seem to be watching for traffic violations such as running through activated pedestrian crossing lights and speeding. I’ve noticed it makes a REAL difference in how motorists are driving when these officers are visible.
Many of us FULLY support Ray Mueller's request to bring back a full traffic policing staff SOONER rather than later.
