Honorable Mayor Combs and Council Members:
It is urgent that the Menlo Park City Council approve the full restoration of the police traffic unit. My son was hit on his bike on September 23rd coming home from school at the corner of North Lemon and Santa Cruz. Thankfully, my son is ok. Every day I read about bikers and pedestrians who either narrowly avoid being hit or are hit by a car. Traffic levels are up and kids are biking and walking to school. Please restore the police traffic unit to full capacity to work with the public and enforce traffic safety laws.The community needs this service now to better ensure all of our safety.
