To City Council of Menlo Park - I am a master swimmer and have swum under Tim Sheeper for over 10 years. With continued research into Covid 19 and effects around pools and water I have concluded that there should not be any reason for Master swimming not to resume. For both mental health and physical fitness. We are a controlled group of swimmers. As master swimmers we are capable of conducting ourselves within the guidelines set for keeping ourselves and each other safe. This is an outrage that anyone can go to Safeway and the likes and touch any items on the shelves and no one runs along to disinfect it every minute. Honestly, this is unacceptable that we adults are being told we cannot swim because we don’t know how to stay safe. Give us a chance to prove it and open swimming pools.
