Dear City Council Members, I am emailing to express my concern about the closure of Onetta Harris Community Center. My granddaughter has been taking classes at Onetta for 8 years and my grandson for 4 years. They enjoys their classes and teachers there. My daughters and I have rented the multipurpose room for family celebrations. My daughters, their husbands, and my husband also use the gym. Coming back to the Belle Haven neighborhood can take more than an hour during traffic time, which is when classes are over plus the cost is much higher in West Menlo Park. I ask that you please consider this and not close the center. Not only would my grandchildren be at a loss, but all the children from the community would loose a great place for activities.
