Why special closed door meeting in mid-afternoon?

Honorable council members,

Why has a meeting been scheduled that people with jobs - including two of our own council members - cannot attend? This special timing could be interpreted as a maneuver around the Brown Act for the majority coalition to meet without the other two council members present. While this may or may not be only appearance, it is truly unacceptable. The three calling this closed-door meeting need to remember that the council is to represent all five districts - and all five points of view - on city issues.

I ask that this inappropriate end-around be rescheduled in a normal and predictable way so that the full council may participate.

Respectfully,

Henry Riggs
