City Council and Mayor what are you doing? The situation has gone from bad to worse. You want us to be like San Francisco? Do you know that a major corporation LEFT san Francisco – Walgreens wont do business there anymore its unsafe the employees can not keep the bad guys from doing bad things and guess what they have no cops to enforce the rules – so now the good guys have no where to get pharmaceuticals or everyday items – I do hope you reconsider your model city of San Francisco for Menlo Park. Who are you ladies to think we don’t need enforcement? What planet did you come from? We need our police – they are good not bad – why have you pitted them against us and made them out to be the evil enforcers? I personally know them. My boy scouts visit the PD every year get a tour know what they do and rely upon them to keep our community safe. We are sick and tired our your idealism and want realism. Our city is filled with angry citizens and scared parents. Get your acts together we are tired of this tactic and want what our tax dollars pay for POLICE!

Subject: Kids safety
Hi I live in Menlo Park. I drive my kids to school and pick them up everyday. Why? Because our streets are dangerous.
In the short time school has been back in session kids have been hit.
This morning a child in a cross walk was nearly killed by a car that sped through the flashing lights where cars were all stopped in the east bound direction on Santa Cruz avenue. He was going very fast swerved to mis hitting her and honked and sped away
Last week a kid was hit on Santa Cruz.
I know members of the council have children. Are you waiting for someone kid to be hit and killed before putting the traffic safety back in place.
People are on their phones speeding ignoring cross walks going around stopped cars who are waiting for pedestrians to cross?
We understand the Mayor and RaY M both supported to bring back traffic enforcement but the rest of you want to wait.
You want me to reduce my carbon footprint then make our streets safe again and enforce the traffic rules abs out police out in plane site of everyone
Do it before a child is lost. Let’s hope it isn’t one of yours or your kids best friend. Not one of you deserves to hold the office we voted you into if you blatantly disregard the danger our children are in because you refuse to put police back on the streets?
Perhaps you are too busy installing your electric appliances in your homes to pay attention to our city. Wasting tax payers $s to electrify the city with FTE sustainability experts but ignore the death trap traffic problem. Bravo bravo bravo.
