In 2015 the Recommendations of the Policing Task Force set up by the then President Obama in the wake of the Michael Brown death at the hands of Ferguson Police were released. President Obama reminded us yesterday that relationships between the community and Policing agencies are a local matter falling squarely in the hands of local City Councils. As City Council members I ask you to review this and other Task Force findings now~immediately and make any and all upgrades required to facilitate a healthy relationship with all the people of our community.
