Dear Friends and Neighbors,
The effects of federal budget cuts earlier this summer have been hitting our community hard. After H.R. 1 was signed into law on July 4, it has led to major cuts to Medicaid and food assistance, as well as created a $1 billion shortfall for Santa Clara County in the coming years.
In short, H.R. 1 has punched a hole in our Countys safety net, and we are now facing a fiscal crisis with dire consequences for every one of our 2 million community members. we hope you can join us to address these concerns and find possible solutions together, for Tomorrow, Thursday, September 18, our special hybrid D3 Community Roundtable from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
This event will take place both in the Milpitas Library Auditorium, via Zoom, giving attendees the chance to hear from local leaders in healthcare, social services, and the public sector at large.
