People living in vehicles

If you had your wits about you, you would be fixing up wrecks for people to live in instead of taking vehicular dwelling away from people. You know what a judge said when this came up in New York City? He said that churches cannot be told not to let people sleep on their premises-- because that's what churches do-- shelter those without shelter. And where do you expect the homeless in cars will sleep once you take their cars away? On YOUR lawns? If not there, where? Have you actually thought this through? Your job is to help people GET housing or at least shelter-- NOT take away what they can find. You are talking about criminalizing poverty. That's what a really lazy, anti-Christian, short sighted, "leader" would do. Do you also agree with criminalizing mental illness, non-white skin tones, immigrants, the ill, the elderly, and anyone who doesn't look like you? Please think of how your parents brought you up. Did they tell you stories of helping hobos during the Depression? Or did they bring you to be cruel, mean, and anti-helpful to those less fortunate than you? How privileged you are to have a roof over your head and be harsh to those who don't! Don't blow it. Many of those who live without a home never thought we'd be homeless. It could happen to you. Most Americans are only one lost paycheck or car accident or illness away from being homeless. How would you like to be treated? That's how you should be treating those who live in the vehicles.
