Mayor Combs, thank you for representing the voters, and businesses, by voting NO, regarding the taking of bids on the Parking Plazas.
AND
To the Four other Council members :
There is an obligation imposed on "Representatives".
You are facing opposition from your Mayor, Businesses, Voters, and Reason.
Unfortunately, You are in essence "Representing" The State Legislators, bowing to their unreasonable, unlawful and overreaching meddling in local issues.
In my opinion, you four (4) council members are acting more like "Owners" of the Parking Plazas, disregarding the legal claims of the collateral owners of the parking plazas, who have ownership demands on the parking plazas, and have sued you, and petitioned you to STOP.
Remember: You are merely TEMPORARY Stewards of city and its people. Three council members should not be more powerful than the demands of the people who they Represent.
Please abandon the Parking Plaza Plans, and "Represent" the multiple oppositions to this plan.
Furthermore, your plan to disrupt parking in our downtown is in clear opposition to your written priority to "Revitalize Downtown".
Start now to get bids on alternate locations for state mandated low cost housing.
Michael C. DeMoss,
Attorney
