I would like to express my appreciation to the Menlo Park police in general and especially for their quick actions to minimize property damage during the recent protests. We should appreciate and give credit for what we have and what they did. A good police force is expensive but not as expensive as the harm against persons and property losses with a not so good police force. I think it is wonderful and we should applaud that Facebook has stepped up to help with these expenses. There has been a suggestion that we replace Menlo Park police with San Mateo County sheriff deputies. I think this is a terrible idea.
