Dear City Council, Thank you for your selfless service to Menlo Park and our broader community. Thanks also to Mayor Taylor and Council Members Carlton and Meuller for being Block Coordinators with MPC Ready. We appreciate this very much. I'm writing to send you (and senior staff, and the general public) an invitation to the July 25 Community meeting where we will hear from prolific emergency preparedness author, Virginia S. Nicols, who will explain her step-by-step process for how individuals can build small teams of neighbors prepared for and ready to respond to emergencies. I know that you are very busy. However, we hope that at least some of you can join us! We continue to add new Block Coordinators while retaining most that joined already. These efforts are helping to build stronger neighborhoods across Menlo Park and the adjacent County where neighbors get connected (and emergency prepared) before an emergency which leads to better outcomes afterward.
