As long time residents of Menlo Park we are THRILLED to finally see the Council make some changes to the lifeless downtown. Now, we understand that you are reconsidering the closures -- because one merchant believes the slowdown in their business is due to the parking. First, there is TONS of parking. Second, we all went to Ace because the other stores did not have basics, but that has changed. We can now buy paper products, etc. at Safeway, Walgreen's etc. for a lower cost. Please reconsider and keep the street closures. We are dining there at least twice a week. Palo Alto is doing it really well.
