Dear Council members, I am writing today in support of continuing the turn restrictions in the Willows. These four turn restrictions located at O'Keefe at Willow, Durham at Willow, Chester at Willow and Woodland at Baywood have had a very positive impact on the traffic in the neighborhood. Living on O'Keefe I have seen a great reduction in the traffic that used to back up on my street and block the residents from getting in or out of their driveways. I have also read the study done on the impact of the restriction and it supports the positive impact these restrictions have had. I would point out that these restrictions are supported by the vast majority of residents of the Willows neighborhood as indicated by the survey the city conducted several months ago. The Complete Streets Commission also voted unanimously to support the continuation of these turn restrictions. It is my hope that you also support continuing these restrictions.
