Hello City Council Members,
This field trip might be of interest to you if you are concerned about sustainability and climate mitigation.
BioForceTech is a company producing Biochar from the RWC waste water treatment of solid waste. Biochar is an excellent soil amendment for gardens and farms and a reliable long term carbon sink. And it can also be used in cement formulations to reduce its carbon footprint. If cement was a county, it would be the world’s 4th largest green house gas emitter!
I have arranged a tour of Our Carbon, a manufacturing plant in RWC on Monday October 20 at 1pm. The tour may be 1.5 hours long. The address is 1400 Radio Road Redwood City.
If you are interested in coming with me and learning more about this, please RSVP.
Here is more info:
Bioforcetech is the first and only full sale operator converting biosolids, a contaminated burdensome waste, into OurCarbon biochar for use in industry. This technology has been directly tested and published by the EPA and third party engineering firms to remove/destroy PFAS and yields a carbon negative output that can help decarbonize concrete and replace black pigments in global markets. This system offers an opportunity to shift wastewater to a material production site for the circular city.
For a quick primer, please see this video taking viewers through the process and material.
Thank you.
