I wanted to let you know about this event happening in Palo Alto next Tuesday, May 21st.
Although the timing conflicts with the Menlo Park City Council meeting, the topic is remarkably relevant given recent budgeting and staffing discussions regarding our current Housing Element goal of developing affordable housing on city-owned land--specifically, on downtown Menlo Park parking lots

Are you passionate about creating more affordable housing options in our city? Interested in learning about the social, economic, and environmental benefits of housing downtown near transit, jobs, and services? Then please join us on May 21st from 6 - 7:30 pm!
We will start with an overview of affordable housing, then walk to two of the parking lots being considered for housing in Palo Alto and hear from the developers, MidPen Housing and Alta Housing. The total walking distance will be approximately 0.5 mile.
After the walking tour, join us for refreshments and conversation with your friends and neighbors.
