Dear City Council,
There were over 3,000 residents who voted against the downtown new building in our parking lots. Why are you even thinking of passing this when it will replace our valuable parking which is totally utilized during the day and will kill our small businesses downtown. Do you members even live in the downtown area? We go downtown for dentist, banks, pharmacies restaurants,etc.,removing our parking will make it impossible for us to to park anywhere near there, not to mention the employees who depend on this parking.
The only new businesses moving in on Santa Cruz are very expensive wine, oyster bars ,which lower income housing families can not afford.
I’d like to know who’s pulling the strings here in Menlo Park. Is this all the developers? All the new housing all look the same, ANOTHER WHITE BOX, no yards, no trees, all glass, wonder why there is GLOBAL WARMING?
WE ARE LOSING the lovely character of Menlo Park housing. Shame on you!
