To Honorable Members of the City Council
I just read the executive summary of the consultants report to the city. Not slanted? HA! The voters are not naive. Having spent 10 years as the office manager for an economic consulting company, I know first hand that not once during that time did our company produce a report that did not support the goal of the entity that hired us! We wanted to be hired for other jobs by that city/company and also use them for good references.
A few years ago, had I known that the best use of these 3 lots would be at the whim of 3 members of our city council, I would certainly have looked closer at those running for election. It is unfathomable to me that we are having to fight city hall to save our town! The signature gathering efforts demonstrated a 10-1 majority of the voters are in favor of the ballot initiative. Please, I am imploring you, do not rip out the heart of Menlo Park - do not suffocate the voice of the people.
