You should dismiss the M-Group’s ballot initiative analysis for what it is—a result driven hit piece against voter democracy authored by city cronies. One need look at only two things to confirm this. First is the millions paid by Menlo Park to M-Group for housing element drafting. More damning—the intertwined relationship between city staff and the consultants removes any hint of objectivity. The consultants are so tone deaf on this that they issued promotional materials describing their symbiotic relationship as follows: “ Since 2013, M-Group has provided professional on-call planning services to the City of Menlo Park, functioning as an integrated extension of their staff.”
