Mayor Combs and City Council,
I enthusiastically support the building of any and all housing in downtown
Menlo Park.
Menlo Park’s downtown depends on the access to new and affordable housing.
This building project will help our community meet our required goals
outlined by the state and give a needed boost to our dying downtown.
Menlo Park needs more housing - we do not need more parking. There is
already plenty of parking across El Camino Real at the Caltrain station.
The Council does not need to waste their time putting up the removal of
parking spaces to a vote. Parking is not needed - homes and apartments are.
Ignore the delay tactics of the wealthy few who would rather see our
downtown due out and force out our lowest income residents. Anyone who
works in our community deserves to live in our community.
Thank you,
Caleb Wigham, Ph.D.
