Misrepresented information, needs correction

Dear Council Member Betsy Nash and members of the Menlo Park City Council,

Thank you for todays update email from Betsy Nash.

Please correct the information that states that the city owns the parking plazas.

This is incorrect:

"The City of Menlo Park is exploring development on certain City-owned downtown parking lots."

The correct information is:

"The City of Menlo Park is exploring development on certain downtown parking lots, which are subject to a lawsuit, questioning the joint ownership rights of the adjoining property owners; and subject to a ballot measure limiting the use of the parking lots, and requiring a vote by the citizens of Menlo Park, in order to change the use of the parking plazas."

Continuing to state that the parking plazas are "city owned" misinforms the voters in the future election on the Parking Plazas Ballot Initiative.

You may wish to use my suggested wording or simply stop referring to the parking plazas as "City Owned".

Please respond with your decision.
Thank you,
Michael DeMoss
