Notice to Developers needed

Dear Members of the Menlo Park City Council,

Please disclose the attached information to all the developers so that they understand the timing limitations and significance of the Ballot Measure in November 2026 and the Lawsuit that may impact the "Surplus Land" and other issues.
Transparency is important in dealing with developers, so that they do NOT allege that they were misled in any way.
Thank you,
Michael DeMoss,
resident, commercial real estate attorney, and former Menlo Park Finance and Audit Commission member

Notice to the public and Developers:

Please correct any information that states that the city owns the parking plazas.

This is incorrect:

"The City of Menlo Park is exploring development on certain City-owned downtown parking lots."

The correct information is:

"The City of Menlo Park is exploring development on certain downtown parking lots, which are subject to a lawsuit, questioning the joint ownership rights of the adjoining property owners; and subject to a ballot measure in November 2026, limiting the use of the parking lots, and requiring a vote by the citizens of Menlo Park, in order to change the use of the parking plazas."

Continuing to state that the parking plazas are "city owned" misinforms the DEVELOPERS in the future use of the Menlo Park Downtown Parking Plazas.

Please respond with your decision regarding notification to Developers.
