The proposed high density housing on site #38 off Sheridan rd. in Menlo
Park is inappropriate for a number of reasons:
1) The site is accessed from a 25 foot road that would be difficult for
large fire vehicles to use.
2) The site is not near any major public transmit.
3) The site if 1/2 hour walking distance from the nearest grocery store.
4) The ~ 2.5 acre site would need to accommodate two parking spaces for
each apartment since rapid transit is some distance away.
5) Assuming 100 units and 2 parking spaces/unit at the minimum of 9'
by19' means over 3/4 acres just in parking.
6) The site is not ideal as multi level housing given the location next
to and overlooking a freeway.
