Dear Menlo Park City Council,
I am writing to voice my support for The Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula’s Gatehouse lease renewal. Although this evening I needed to bring my daughter to a Girl Scouts event, I am passionate about retaining our League’s home for community programs, volunteer training, and service. Since I joined the Junior League in 2012, I have participated in and chaired committee meetings from every room in the Gatehouse, I have put elbow grease into maintaining the building in “Done in a Days,” and I have welcomed new members at meet & greets and information nights. It is not just the meeting place for all Junior League committees - it is our home and our community. It is an honor and a privilege to use and maintain the Gatehouse as the foundation for all of our essential community efforts, and we look forward to our partnership continuing on in the years to come.
