Aside from general privacy concerns associated with these devices (see some concerns here), the significant cybersecurity issues these devices have been found to have (see a whitepaper describing the issues here, or more digestibly presented here) present a serious concern. I would like to see Menlo Park not renew the contract with Flock Safety, or at a minimum reduce the data retention duration.
