Dear Mayor, Vice Mayor, and city council members,
A lots of Belle Haven residents were terrified from two very loud explosions last night around 8:30 pm and 8:55pm. That’s was third time happened within this week!!
We wrote mails to city regarding the same issue last year. Looks like it is not helping and even getting worse. Most of our residents are giving up to call police , because it is Not working at all.
I’ve been living in this area over ten years, illegal fireworks are always happened on July 4th and New Year’s Eve ( which even shouldn’t happen because it’s illegal ). But it is more frequently and louder now. They are very loud explosions and happened on holidays, weekends, weekdays , evenings, nights, even early morning around 4 am. It not only disturb the peace but also can cause fire hazard.
This issue has been a chronic occurrence and addressed by city council many times, but has not been any resolution!
As residents of Menlo Park, we hope to get help and solutions from city.
