Dear City Council,
As we, as a city, seem to continually expand our concern about every aspect of life in Menlo Park, let me remind the Council that the fundamentals
cannot be ignored, like police, fire protection, and the roads and pathways. And not forget the downtown which is shabby in comparison to other financially gifted towns like Los Altos or Burlingame.
In that regard, I inquired some months ago about the repaving schedule for my street, Sand Hill Circle, which is undulating and pockmarked.
The response was involuted and incomprehensible. Something about our street was too far gone for timely repair or financing by the State or Federal funds was the reply. A schedule of street repaving on the website would be a better answer.
The city is ripe for rejuvenation.
