Dear City Council,
Menlo Park has a mandate to provide affordable housing; however, downtown
Menlo Park is not the place for it. I’m unable to get into or out of my
street, Hoover St., either onto or from Oak Grove or Valparaiso in the
morning and after 3pm. Has there been a traffic impact study?
In addition to creating an untenable traffic situation, downtown Menlo
businesses are struggling. A disruptive parking situation will only
exacerbate the businesses struggle and encourage residents to shop
elsewhere for convenience and accessible parking.
Please present other options for us to meet the housing need.
