*INPUT FOR CITY COUNCIL PRIORITY SETTING on MARCH 21, 2026*
To: Menlo Park City Council and City Manager
From: Rubye Cervelli, 30+ year Menlo Park Resident
As part of the Menlo Park Community, below is a list of my priorities for
fiscal year 2026 to 2027:
1. Take action and specify Alternative Sites for housing and move off
of using the downtown parking lots (immediately).
2. Support the planned conversion of the unused Dumbarton railing to a
bus line with bike/pedestrian path and support the Bohannon Park property
as a site for housing.
3. Pressure wash the downtown sidewalks on a regular basis and cleaner
streets (miscellaneous garbage seems to be on the increase).
4. Support increased affordability by staying within budget on* ALL*
projects and city expenses- do *NOT* increase expenses or taxes for
residents.
5. Work with USGS developer and other developers on adding or
increasing the number of low income housing for families and not just the
required 15% BMR.
6. Work with incoming and current downtown businesses to make it
easier for them to do business including moving off attempts to steal their
parking lots (refer back to item 1 above).
