Dear Mayor Nash and Councilmembers,
Menlo Spark thanks City Staff for the informational update on Communitywide electrification and we are happy to have helped and to continue helping with outreach.
We are also particularly encouraged about the work on electrification for knob-and-tube wiring, which presents a significant challenge statewide, as well as renter support. We hope that both programs can be expanded in the future. We will continue to work with the City while noting that the goal of 95% electrification by 2030 presents an extreme challenge, so we also hope to work together to consider additional steps to support climate neutrality as soon as possible in Menlo Park, and statewide.
