One Viable Solution to Affordable Housing without Destroying our Downtown

*RE: One Viable Solution to Affordable Housing without Destroying our
Downtown*

*Dear Menlo Park City Council Members:*

*See attached article from this week’s Palo Alto Weekly where 174 units
with 203 parking spots will be built at 800 San Antonio Road.*

*Per an AI Google search on 3/1/26, t*he lot at 800 San Antonio Road
(located in Palo Alto, adjacent to Mountain View) is approximately *0.88
acres*. This size reflects a planned merger of two adjacent lots. *Lot
Size:* ~0.88 acres (sq ft).

If 174 units with 302 parking spots can be built on .88 acres, just think
what can be done on the 25 acres Bohannon Park space.

You do not have to ruin our downtown to provide housing if you use your
creativity and cerebral frontal cortex you can find alternative spaces.

Just one idea for an alternative to the downtown parking lots,
