Dear MP City Council,
My wife and I frequently walk downtown and believe it could use a little “spiffing up.” Here are a few low to moderate cost suggestions.
1. The white lines that border the street cross walks all could use a coat of paint. Also there are several “stop”‘signs on the street that need painting. An easy fix.
2. The bricks that are both on the sidewalks and cross street paths are generally in ok condition. However, there are several bricks missing or broken. Let’s replace these.
3. The wood frames that surround the street lights all need to be restained. Again, an easy fix.
4. The concrete flower planters up and down Santa Cruz are generally in good repair. However, some need fixing up. Let’s do this.
5. A few street trees are missing. Let’s replace these.
These items above are not particularly expensive. But if done they will go a long way towards making downtown look sharper and open for business.
Thanks for your consideration.
