Dear Students, Family, and Community Leaders,
Thank you all for your participation in the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. On behalf of Representative Sam Liccardo, we invite you to join us for a celebration of artistic talent at the Annual Art Competition Reception on Monday, May 4, 4:00 pm at Menlo College in Menlo Park.
This year we received over 30 entries from high school students across the 16th Congressional District, all exploring the theme "What does the United States of Americas 250th anniversary mean to you?" A panel of professional artists have evaluated the entries. The reception will include a dynamic display of submitted entries; recognition of first-, second-, and third- place winners; as well as three honorable mentions. The first-place winner will be invited to join a ceremony in Washington DC on June 25th, and their winning work will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol.
Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP by emailing RSVPLiccardo@mail.house.gov and indicate number of guests.
