I am appealing to you to vote no to the proposal to charge a fee on newspaper racks. At a time when there has been an attack on free press and journalists, running newspapers out of business by assessing fees seems egregious. I would expect more from my local government. It appears the council is avoiding public input in out local government. Your constituents will see this as a coverup of your governance. Voting for the fee would be a serious mistake.
