Council and staff, as a life long Peninsula resident, 43 year Menlo Park Homeowner and downtown Business owner, former MP Planning Commissioner, And Stanford trained Urban Planner, Ive noticed a decidedly managed effort by current Mayor Nash and staff to downplay the proposed Downtown Parking Plaza Housing Proposals on both the City Downtown Housing website over the last few years, as well as the new sandwich signs and their misleading profile that staff have placed on the subject Plazas 1-3 this past Friday as a "Public Notice"...
Are you suggesting that after seeing the Middle Plaza photo of 4 story buildings on the City website for some time, and now a profile on the sandwich signs in those parking plazas 1-3, showing a MAXIMUM 4 story height, with ground floor retail and 3 stories of apartments above, when it is quite well known that ALL 3 PROPOSALS FROM DEVELOPERS SHOW 7-9 STORY MONOLITHS.....?????
Are you, the council majority led by current Mayor Nash, suggesting that you can blithely get away with such obvious egregious misrepresentation to the ELECTORATE???
AND, YOU ARE DOING THE BIDDING OF GROVE FOUNDATION FINANCED MENLO TOGETHER?????
This shameless enterprise orchestrated by current Mayor Nash, and council majority on this critical issue, are about to befall the furious pushback by AN INFORMED ELECTORATE, to WHOM YOU SERVE!!
