Honorable City Council,
Trying again, your city.council@menlopark.gov bounced back to me with an
error message
I live in Sunnyvale and would bike to Menlo Park more to shop and dine if
the El Camino bike lanes are extended through Menlo Park. Other cities
along ECR like Atherton and Redwood City are also working to make biking
along El Camino safer. Menlo Park should do its part to be a good neighbor
city.
The Complete Streets Commissions Ad Hoc Subcommittee has already done the
feasibility analysis. The northbound segment from Sand Hill to Middle
Avenue can accommodate Quick Build Class IV protected lanes with minimal
parking impact. The analysis is done — please fund it.
Protected bike lanes on El Camino Real are consistent with the Grand
Boulevard Initiative that Menlo Park supports, the citys Climate Action
Plan, and the Transportation Master Plan. The CIP is the right vehicle to
move this forward.
Thanks!
Sincerely,
Tim Oey
