Hello Esteemed Council Members,
I am writing to express my thanks for the 30+ year contract the city has
had with Dance Expressions. My daughter has been dancing with them for 14
years and it has been an amazing experience. There are many private dance
organizations in our area, but none are as body-positive, all-inclusive,
and welcoming to all levels of dancers. Additionally Dance Expressions
added an Adult Hip Hop class three years ago and it is one of the things
that brings me weekly joy. As we age, as women in particular, things like
dance not only help with mobility it also helps with cognitive strength. I
am so thankful for Dance Expressions, and I love that the City of Menlo
Park continues to host them through Burgess Community Center.
