Please work with the contractor to keep the pool open for the community. If the City chooses to put the contract out for bid in the future, do it without disrupting services or ‘shutting it down.’ As a resident who uses the pool regularly I can say that Tim Sheeper has done an excellent job running the pool for the past 15 years. He and his staff are phenomenal and while it maybe prudent to renegotiate his lease or look for a new contractor, the priority needs to be serving the community and keeping the pool open and professionally run.. I understand that not everyone is happy with the current programming. However, should the City decide to ‘shut it down’ or attempt to operate it themselves - which was a failure years ago - it would be a huge disservice to the community and the few complaints being received now would grow exponentially. I cannot believe that our Mayor would even suggest that ‘shutting it down’ would be an option. Turn it around and fix this mess.
