Hello,
I was suggested to forward my email to this address.
So, please find below the original message sent to the Mayor of Menlo Park and other members of City Hall.
This message has also been sent to City Hall of Redwood City and other associations that had been referred to us.
Out of all the associations contacted, only one person at HIP Housing and the 211 messages center has responded. Both said they had no solution for me and recommended to contact churches.
Yesterday, the police came around and gave us yet another warning. This will be the second one in one month time!
Last I talk to an officer, he told me that they were determined to get us out of here, that they were looking into a way to tow our RV and until this day, they will keep on issuing warnings …
I will send another email with my thoughts about the situation and ideas.
Meanwhile, I appreciate your time.
Thank you.
Sincerely, Karine

Subject: RV parking spot needed
Subject: Request for Assistance with RV Parking
Dear Mayor Cecilia Taylor and City Council Members,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Karine , and I am writing to seek your assistance in finding a permanent and safe parking solution for my RV, which has been my home for the past six years now.
For the last three years, I have been parked on Bohannon Drive without any major issues. However, recently, I have been facing increasing pressure from the police to move my RV. The current economic situation and rising rents have forced many more people into RV living, causing the number of RVs in our area to increase significantly. While the RVs on Scott Drive create a traffic safety issue, and those on Campbell Street may inconvenience local employees, the ones on Bohannon Drive are technically off the street and out of the way even of the street cleaning vehicle. In general, the presence of RVs has not caused significant problems like the police is mentioning. The area remains clean, and I have not received any complaints from employees or business owners about the RVs, contrary to what the police have indicated.
Despite the resources supposedly available for housing, navigating through the information and restrictions has been extremely challenging. And I do not seek housing assistance; I simply need a place to park my RV, which is my home, along with my husband and 2 small dogs. (We additionally have 2 cars.)
I have looked into Trailer Villa, but the management has been unresponsive and unwelcoming, citing reasons such as my RV being too old and stay can’t exceed 7 months. Also the rental costs is really high ($1500-$2000 without utilities). Another park in Redwood City is over crowded and currently full.
If I could, for $1000 including utilities, even if it would still strain my budget, I would gladly move to a spot at Trailer Villa.
I am reaching out to you in hopes that you might be able to provide a solution for a suitable parking space where I can live peacefully without the constant fear of being asked to move by the police. A location close to where I am currently parked would be ideal. Full hookup is NOT necessary.
Your help and support in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Karine
