Just want to say that I have swum at Burgess Pool under the management of Tim Sheeper since the new pool opened seventeen years ago. I am in my 70s and swim with the Menlo Masters and find this group to be extremely inclusive of all sorts of people, not just serious athletes. We have people in their late 80s swimming with us, also a heart replacement survivor, and many cancer survivors including myself, and even during Masters workouts there are lanes open for lap swimming or any other type of water exercise that can be done within the confines of a lane. I simply do not understand the argument that somehow Burgess under Tim's management is being run like an exclusive private club. Everyone is welcome period. In addition he was able to operate the pool on a limited basis for most of the worst of the COVID pandemic when many other pools and programs were closed. I urge you to carefully consider the value that Tim has brought to Menlo Swim and Sport.
