Dear City Council:
I live at 1922 Menalto Ave, Menlo Park directly across the street from the Cafe Zoe at 1929 Menalto.
I’m strongly opposed to the Cafe Zoe getting a use permit from City of Menlo Park as an outdoor music venue with amplified music! I’m sure their illegal amplified music playing this last year has been well over the, I believe 60 decibel measured from the edge of the property, noise ordinance in effect in Menlo Park.
Since the West side of the street is a business area and the East side it residential it’s really not suitable to let Cafe Zoe interfere with residences tranquility.
When their music is playing it is extremely distracting and annoying when I’m trying to listen to the television, my own music, work on my computer or to just veg out after a long day of work. In order to get some peace and quiet I have to leave the house and go somewhere else! The cacophony of sounds around here is really irritating.
I want to put my name on the record to say please deny them that permit!
