Dear Mayor Taylor, Vice Mayor Combs, Councilmembers, and Staff,
Im happy that you will have the opportunity to provide direction to staff on the 2025-2030 Climate Action Plan scope of work tonight.
I am very concerned about climate change, and am keen to have Menlo Park continue its leadership role in moving away from using fossil fuels in our homes and transportation. This leadership also has the very tangible and near-term benefit of creating clean air and safe and healthy homes for our residents.
I support the three options that staff has presented, and I would prioritize Option #2 immediately, and look at Option #3 for 2025. If Option #1 can easily be implemented, by all means include it, but not at the expense of #2.
