Agenda Item G3 - Consider adopting a resolution to remove Willow-Gilbert and Willow-Coleman Improvements

Dear City Council,

As a longtime resident of Menlo Park, I'm writing to oppose the widening of the intersections at Willow-Gilbert and Willow-Coleman.
I support the staff recommends removing these two improvements. The "Improvement" doesn't appear to have any benefit. If anything, it only makes the situation worst in terms of safety to pedestrians and bikers. Both intersections are major routes for students and parents traveling to Laurel Schools and Menlo Atherton High School.

Widening the intersections for Menlo Uptown PIA creates a worst condition for the residents living on Willow Road. The residents between Middlefield and Coleman prefers a safer street with: Less traffic; Pedestrian cross walks at Nash and Blackborn; Calming device to prevent speeding vehicles; Improved signage. (Recently installed feedback signs has little improvements. These signs should of been larger and the speed limit posted).

Regards,
Daniel Hom
MP Resident
